Such Great Heights: Stratus Apartment Tower Complete

The team at the Stratus tower, formerly 9th and Lenora, is putting the finishing touches on the project after nearly three years of work.

The new 43-story apartment building, located in South Lake Union, stands tall alongside its neighbor, the Cirrus Apartment Tower. Both buildings were designed by Weber Thompson and built by Sellen for the owner, GID Development Group. When crews pack up the project office and demobilize, it will be the culmination of almost five years of work on the two towers.

Like its sibling across the street, Stratus offers striking views of the city and a variety of amenities for its residents. Features include amenity spaces on floors 6 and 43, a dog run for the tower’s canine inhabitants and a fitness center. The building’s 396 units are equipped with high-end finishes and range in size from one to three bedrooms. The apartment tower also includes five levels of below-grade parking.

Much of the Cirrus team remained on-site for Stratus, building upon lessons learned from the previous project. This continuity built excellent chemistry and camaraderie among the team and enabled a more efficient punchlist process.

Congratulations to everyone who played a role in the project!
