Who Says Engineers Don't Know How to Have Fun? While true, the ideal Sellen candidate must have a strong work ethic, it's also important to us that our employees be well rounded. We want them to achieve a good balance between work, home and community, and we work to help them do just that. We've found that our employees who are actively engaged in activities beyond work, are better communicators and leaders. Sellen sponsors opportunities to get involved with the community, like the Forgotten Children's Fund or the annual Nordstrom Beat the Bridge Run to benefit Juvenile Diabetes. Alas, statistics do also prove that the average employee spends more time on the job than at home. So at Sellen we're striving to create an environment where there are times that our employees can relax and socialize with their work friends as well. Throughout the year you'll find Sellenites enjoying a variety of company-sponsored functions like picnics, parties, barbecues, theatre, golf, or basketball. A word of warning, though. Halloween is the only time of year our executives are allowed to cut loose. If we allowed them to express themselves every day, none of us would get any work done. |
