Less widely recognized is our work constructing assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Like the work we perform in the healthcare arena, construction amid the ongoing operations of retirement residences, assisted living or skilled nursing homes requires that we conduct ourselves with special sensitivity around patients whose health can be fragile. Contrary to resenting our intrusion, residents are often both curious and interested in our progress — and we work closely with clients, departments and staff to minimize disruptions and maintain a constant vigil with regard to patient safety and building security.
